Today's first blog...

Today it was reported from numerous sources that Seal Team 6, the Navy Seal Team that went in and killed UBL, was told that if things went bad they were to fight their way out of Pakistan. Now that is probably not a great big surprise to most since that team had probably rehearsed doing so many times over. It does raise the question though that if Seal Team 6 had to (and believe me they would have made it) fight their way out would they encounter and kill Pakistani military/militia in the process? Of course they would have especially since Pakistan had no prior knowledge of the raid that just took place. They wouldnt have had any choice in the matter that would have been the only way to make it home alive. I agree with that completely. The next thing comes to mind is well what kind of strain does the put on our political relationship with Pakistan? Our relationship with them was already strained prior to the raid and even more strained now and the mission was a complete success. Of course it was already strained that is why we didnt tell them about the mission, they couldnt be trusted. They were suppose to be our ally in the war on terror yet they harbor the biggest baddest terrorist in the world. They say they didnt know and that there was "incompetence" at the higher levels of their government. I say they knew and more then that they assisted UBL hiding for more the 6 yrs. Since 2001 we have given Pakistan more then 20 billion,thats right billion, dollars in aide. That is alot of money to a country we dont trust dont you think? They are slated to receive another 3 billion this year for more aide. Hmm makes me wonder why we keep giving this country that we dont trust, that we were 90% sure harbored terrorists, that does not make much of an effeort in the war against terror in their on country so much money? Well I believe there are a couple of reasons why that is. One is because we knew they had UBL we just didnt know exactly where at in that country. We played nice and they played nice with UBL. They kept him hidden while at the same time telling us that they were helping us try to find him. They held on to their prize possession while we sent billions of dollars over thinking we were helping a friend. Wrong were we huh. The second reason is their nuclear weapons. We didnt and still dont want another foe with nuclear weapons(N. Korea). Trying to keep Pakistan happy was keeping their nuclear weapons in check because we know that if we lost them they would probably use them on India. So we played nice some more. Well now we have taken out their prize possession in UBL and believe me Pakistan is not happy about it at all. We (the UNITED STATES of AMERICA) do not assist countries that harbor terrorists and they did. So now do we stop with the billions and billions of dollars going to Pakistan? Hmmm definately and interesting question. Tell what you think all views and opinions will be treated with respect. Next Post coming soon.......
