NBA FINALS GAME 2

So they Dallas Mavericks have an injury to their star player. Do they seem concerned about it? Not really, his teammates have been making jokes about it since it happened. Brian Cardinal said that they should just cut the finger off a la Ronnie Lott. Another player joked that if Rondo can play with one arm, Dirk can play with nine fingers.

Because the injury is on Dirk's non shooting hand the team feels that the injury will be a non factor. After all Dirk was 6 of 16 shooting prior to the injury.

But you can expect that the Heat players know of the injury and will be keying on it, even if they wont admit it. You will see players swatting at Dirk's hand with alittle more force and alittle more intent. If nothing else just to remind him of his injury.

The Mavs made so many mistakes in game one that they deserved to lose. They were out rebounded by 10. Look for that to change in game two tonight. Chandler and Marion and Nowitzki will be more aggressive on the glass. They must box out better and get bodies on the Heat players. The Heat got 16 second chance rebounds leading to 13 more shots then the Mavericks.

Dallas must defend the three point line better as well. Miami hit 11 3-pointers in game one. They gave to much space to Wade and James. The Heat players had time to set their feet, order something from the concession stand, and then let 3 pointer go. The Mavs must put a hand in their face.

Dallas shot a playoff low 37% from the field. That will go up in game two. They only got 17 points off their bench. Terry accounted for 12 of those points and they all came quietly in the first half of game one. He must be a scoring factor in game two for the Mavs to have a chance. They must also find a way to get Lebron off of him on the defensive side of the ball.

Dallas had the lead after the first two quarters in game one, so they know they can compete with the Heat. At one point in the third quarter they were even up 8 points. They didn't lose the game until the last 5 minutes in the fourth quarter.

The Heat only shot 38% from the field, so it wasn't as if Dallas's defense wasn't working. Although it worked better when Dallas switched to a zone defense and not the man to man defense.

I still believe the Dallas Mavericks will win the NBA FINALS in seven games, even if they don't win tonight. Which by the way I believe they will. They have three home games coming up so game two is more important for the Heat to win then it is for Dallas.

Tell us what you think, do you think we are wrong? or do you agree? Let us know. We are also having the GUESS THE FINAL SCORE contest again, so leave your final score with your comment. L2

I say Dallas wins tonight 98-94. Too many things went wrong for Dallas and too many things went right for Miami. Miami wont hit the three ball like they did in game one and Dallas will improve their three point shooting. Dirk with have a big game tonight he missed alot of shots that he usually makes in game one. Terry will be productive. Haywood Chandler and Marion will keep them off the boards tonight as well. If J Kidd's jumper is on it will be a long night for the Heat.

Too much 4th quarter defense from th Heat, it's going to be a sweep.

@Drunkin thank you for the comment long time since we heard from you. There is no way the Heat sweep, sorry buddy. They may win tonight but they wont win 2 in a row in Dallas.

@Drunkin and Anonymous well there went your sweep...and Dallas was the team with the 4th quarter defense. Dirk put it away. Big play from Marion and Terry tonight. Still think Miami wins the series?

Yes, and I am very angry at the Heat's tank job. Let's run the shot clock down and take a contested 3 pointer 3 times in a row.

Dirk did it right, he took it to the rim, if Lebron and Wade did that they would be up 2-0.

I hate both teams and now I hate the Heat more because they failed at everthing I said tehy were good at.

I hope they both lose.

@Drunkin Sailor thank you for your comment. Lebron always wants to hit that fade away 3 or the fade away jumper. That wont win him a title. It didnt work in Cleveland, and it hasnt worked as of yet in Miami. I myself am not a Mavericks fan, but since they reside in Texas by default I will want them to win I guess.
