This year's show is full of some of the best bands in Texas Country music today. Labor Day By The Bay 2011 features the Randy Rogers Band, Pat Green, the Josh Abbott Band and Whiskey Myers. You may have heard of some of these bands, maybe you haven't heard of any of them.

Well let us here at Loose Topics introduce them to you.....

The Randy Rogers Band is a Texas country music band from the state of Texas. The band is made up of Randy Rogers, Geoffrey Hill, Jon Richardson, Brady Black, and Les Lawless. What perfect names for a Texas country band huh? The Randy Rogers Band has recorded 4 studio albums and 2 live albums to date.

In 2000 the Randy Rogers Band recorded their first album, Live At Cheatham Street Warehouse, at the music hall of the same name in San Marcos, Texas. In 2002 the band signed to the independent Downtime record label, releasing their album, Like It Used To Be. Around this time the Randy Rogers Band began playing outside of San Marcos, TX more frequently. Two years later the album Rollercoaster was released and produced two entries on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart in 2005. In 2006 the band released their first major label album, Just A Matter of Time. Their latest album Burning The Day was released on August 24, 2010. The albums first song debuted a #55 on the Billboards Hot Country Songs Chart, the song was named Too Late For Goodbye.

Pat Green is another performer at this years Labor Day By The Bay. Pat is a Texas country musician, that was also born and raised right here in the state of Texas.

Green's first major label album, Three Days, released in 2001. Pat Green has been active in the Texas Music business since 1995, releasing 10 studio albums along the way. Pat has paid his dues in the music business as well as paved the way for other  Texas music musicians to go more main stream. In 2006 Green released the album Cannonball, and later that year he went on tour with Kenny Chesney.

In 2008 Pat Green released Let Me, the first single from this album What I'm For. The single reached #12 on the country charts, giving Green his first top 20 single since 2006. Pat Green is one Texas country musician that has found success moving more main stream, climbing the Nashville charts and going on big act tours. Good for you Pat Green!

Another band at the 2011 Labor Day By The Bay show is the josh Abbott Band. Like the Randy Rogers Band and Pat Green, the Josh Abbott Band is a Texas country music band actually from the state of Texas. The band is made up of Josh Abbott, Preston Wait, Edward Villanueva, James Hertless, and Caleb Keeter. the band was founded in 2000 in the city of Lubbock, Texas. In 2009 the band released their first album, Scapegoat. The second album She's Like Texas, came in 2010. This album made the Top Country Albums Charts. This album includes Oh, Tonight which debuted at #59 on the Hot Country Songs Chart in early 2011. If you haven't seen the Josh Abbott Band live, you haven't seen Texas Country music live.

Whiskey Myers may not be the most known of all of the bands at this year's Labor Day By The Bay, but you will remember them after listening to their music.

This east Texas band got it's big break in 2007 after opening for Roger Creager at a night club. They stole the show and stole the crowd as well. They were so impressive the club owner went on stage personally and practically begged them to come back next weekend to open for Eli Young. That was the beginning of the rise of Whiskey Myers and they still moving up my friends.

their style is as combination of many different types of music. They combine the blues/rock music with modern day Texas country music. This combination creates a new sound that is sure to take the concert listener on a thrill ride. With a sound so unique and a stage presence that just captivates audiences, this band must be seen live. So don't miss them.

So there you go, now you have been introduced the bands that will be playing at this year's Labor Day By The Bay at Concrete Street Amphitheater on Sept. 4th. This is definitely a must see show, so if you are in the area make sure to get your tickets before it sells out. Remember tickets are on sale now at all Ticketmaster locations as well as the Concrete Street Box Office. Get yours now or be left out.
