DAY 6 IS HERE! WOW THAT DIDN'T TAKE LONG DID IT. IF YOU ARE NOT SURE WHAT DAY 6 MEANS, IT MEANS WE ARE A QUARTER OF THE WAY THROUGH THIS 24 DAY CHALLENGE!! THAT IS AWESOME..
IT IS ALSO KIND OF BITTER SWEET THOUGH, SWEET THAT WE ARE 25% OF THE WAY THROUGH BUT BITTER IN THAT OUR INFAMOUS FIBER DRINK IS RETURNING HAHA!!
I AM HOPING THAT OTHERS ARE EXPERIENCING SOME RESULTS AND THOSE RESULTS BIG OR SMALL SHOULD KEEP US MOTIVATED AND DRIVEN! I HAVE TOLD YOU HERE THAT I STARTED AT 201.8 POUNDS AND CURRENTLY SIT AT 193.0 POUNDS. MY BODY HAS STARTED TO TAKE A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT SHAPE, FOR THE BETTER. BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY I FEEL BETTER AND I HOPE YOU DO TOO!!
I SPOKE TO A FAMILY MEMBER OF MINE THIS MORNING THAT IS DOING THE CHALLENGE WITH ME. SHE IS DOWN NEARLY 5 POUNDS AND FEELS BETTER AS WELL. SHE WAS A LITTLE DISCOURAGED AND FEELS LIKE THE WEIGHT LOSS HAS SLOWED DOWN...
THIS IS WHERE I BELIEVE OUR CULTURE HAS REALLY DONE US A DISSERVICE. WE EXPECT EVERYTHING SO FAST, FAST FOOD, 10 MINUTE OIL CHANGES, FAST INTERNET, FAST CARS, FAST SERVICE, ETC. WE WANT EVERYTHING NOW AND SOMETIMES FOR GET THAT IT IS ABOUT THE JOURNEY OF ACCOMPLISHING OUR GOALS JUST AS MUCH...NOT EVERYTHING THAT IS FAST IS GOOD!
REMEMBER IT TOOK US YEARS, FOR ME NEARLY 40 YEARS, TO GET INTO THIS SHAPE AND HEALTH. IT IS NOT GONNA BE COMPLETELY REVERSED IN 6 DAYS OR EVEN IN 24 DAYS! BUT WE HAVE TO START SOMEWHERE AND WE HAVE TO MAKE GRADUAL, STEADY PROGRESS BECAUSE THAT IS THE ONLY WAY THE RESULTS WILL LAST...
MY DAY 6 STARTED OFF A LITTLE ROUGH. YESTERDAY WAS THE FIRST DAY BACK IN THE BOX HITTING MY LIFTS AND WORKING OUT PRETTY HARD. SO OF COURSE COME THE END OF THE NIGHT I WAS TIRED. WENT TO BED AT 1030PM AND SLEPT PRETTY DARN GOOD I GUESS BECAUSE THE NEXT TIME I WOKE UP IT WAS 720AM!!
I JUMPED OUT OF BED, HURRIED TO GET MY SON UP AND DRESSED AND PREPARED FOR SCHOOL WITH HIS HOMEWORK AND LUNCH ALL BY 800AM. I PULLED IT OFF TOO!!!
I CAME BACK AND FINISHED HELPING MY WIFE GET MY DAUGHTER ADDISON DRESSED FOR HER SCHOOL. AND IF ANY OF YOU OUT THERE HAVE A 2 1/2 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER YOU KNOW THIS IS NO EASY TASK!!!
OFF MY WIFE WENT TO DROP ADDISON OFF AT SCHOOL AND THEN SHE WAS HEADING TO WORK. SO ABOUT 845AM NOW I MIX MY SPARK UP AND START TO MAKE ME SOME BREAKFAST. I COOK UP 2 EGGS OVER EASY WITH SOME SALAMI AND PEPPERONI TOPPED WITH SOME FRESH GUACAMOLE. NOT BAD AT ALL!
AFTER BREAKFAST I CHANGE AND FINISH MY SPARK, GETTING READY TO GO GET MY WORKOUT IN BECAUSE WE ARE SUPPOSE TO BE GETTING A ARTIC COLD FRONT IN THIS AFTERNOON. DOWN HERE IN SOUTH TEXAS THAT MEANS THE WIND WILL BE BLOWING AND THE TEMPS WILL BE IN THE 40S HAHA!!

NOW WHEN I LOOKED AT THIS I DIDN'T THINK MUCH OF IT AND BOY WAS I WRONG!! FIRST OFF BURPEES SUCK! SECOND I HAVE NEVER DONE GLUTE BRIDGES BEFORE SO THERE WAS A LEARNING CURVE THERE FOR SURE HAHA..BUT I GOT DONE AND HAD FUN DOING IT. THANK YOU KIMBERLY JONES AND THE FIT FOR LIFE
AFTER THAT MY HEART RATE WAS UP AND MUSCLES NICE AND LOOSE AND I WAS READY TO TACKLE MY WORKOUT FOR THE DAY AND HERE IT IS:
NICE LITTLE MIX OF MULTIPLE HIGH INTENSITY WORKOUTS. THE FIRST WAS EVERY 1:30 5 FULL SNATCHES FOR 6 MINUTES, EVERY 1:30 I WOULD INCREASE THE WEIGHT. THE NEXT ONE WAS WORKOUT WITH A 15 MINUTE TIME CAP AND IT KILLED ME. I DID NOT COMPLETE THE LAST 3 EXERCISES, I WAS GASSED!! THEN I DID 5 CLEAN AND JERKS EVERY 2:00 FOR 8 MINUTES. INCREASING THE WEIGHT EVERY 2 MINUTES. THIS GOT INTERESTING BECAUSE I WAS ALREADY CRUSHED FROM THE TIME CAP WORKOUT...FINALLY I FINISHED OFF WITH 3 ROUNDS OF 5 OVERHEAD SQUATS AND 5 PULL UPS. PULL UPS ARE MY NEMESIS AND SO THIS WAS NICE TO WORK ON THEM...
MY WORKOUT ENDED AT 1100AM SO JUST ABOUT AN HOUR IN THE BOX. THAT IS ABOUT AS LONG AS I LIKE TO SPEND IN THERE, AFTER THAT MY FOCUS DROPS.
I GRABBED A PROTEIN BAR AND SOME WATER AND FUELED UP AS I DROVE HOME. MY WIFE CALLED ME AND ASKED IF I WOULD LIKE TO MEET HER FOR LUNCH IN ABOUT AN HOUR AND HALF. I SAID PERFECT BECAUSE IT WILL BE TIME FOR ME TO GET MY LUNCH IN ABOUT THEN. WE MET AT GENGHIS GRILL AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! THAT PLACE ROCKS, I WAS ABLE TO GET ALL MY PROTEIN IN WITH PLENTY OF VEGGIES AND VERY LITTLE CARBS...
CAME HOME AND NOW PREPARING FOR DINNER AND MY SHIFT TOMORROW AT THE FIRE STATION. TODAY I WILL SNACK ON A SHAKE OF CHOCOLATE PROTEIN AND FRESH BANANAS AND PEANUT BUTTER. BEFORE DINNER I WILL GET MY OMEGAPLEX IN.
DINNER WILL BE ASIAN LETTUCE WRAPS, MY WIFE MAKES THEM BETTER THAN THE P.F. PLACE! THEN I WILL GRAB MY LAST SNACK OF JERKY AND CHEESE LATER ON AND TAKE MY HERBAL CLEANSE BEFORE BEDTIME.
SPEAKING OF BEDTIME, LAST NIGHT I MADE A MISTAKE. I WAS WATCHING TV WITH MY AND GOT MY LAST SNACK BEFORE BED. I CHOSE TO GET SOME FRIED PORK SKINS. THEY ARE ACTUALLY A GREAT SNACK IN THAT THERE ARE NO CARBS IN THEM AT ALL. BUT WHAT I FORGET WAS HOW MUCH SODIUM IS IN THEM. EVEN BEFORE I WENT TO BED AND WHEN I WOKE UP I FELT BLOATED. I COULD FEEL MY BODY RETAINING THE WATER. I DONT THINK I WILL CHOOSE THOSE AS MY LAST SNACK OF THE DAY, MAYBE A MID DAY SNACK INSTEAD.
LETS KEEP ALL THE RESULTS GOING! NOT MATTER HOW SMALL YOUR RESULT IS, IT IS STILL A RESULT! PROGRESS IS PROGRESS NO MATTER HOW LONG IT TAKES OR HOW SMALL IT IS. IF WE CONTINUE TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICES, KEEP OUR PORTION SIZES UNDER CONTROL, SUPPLEMENT WHEN NEEDED, OUR RESULTS WILL CONTINUE TO COME!
