The video titled EVERYONE GOES HOME has been released again. With a new year about to begin this video is a must watch for anyone in the Fire Service or has family in the Fire Service.
Some people have stated that the video is very somber in the story it tells, but they are missing the bigger picture. If we do not tackle the problems of training, complacency, proper PPE wearing, and knowing structures and how they are built , then we will continue to make the same mistakes our brothers did before us.
There is a statement in the video made by a Chicago firefighter that rings true. We are not superman, we have other obligations, everyone must go home. As we turn the corner to a new year sit down with your family (at home and in the fire house) and take the time to watch and discuss this video.
