BENEFIT/TRIBUTE
WORKOUT...
On
August 22nd XFIT936, a group of local Corpus Christi Firefighters, will be
performing a BENEFIT/TRIBUTE workout in honor of Chief J.D. Johnson. As many of
you know by now Chief Johnson was injured at a structure fire. His injuries
included burns to his hands, face, and chest area. Chief Johnson was flown to
Brooks County Medical Center to receive the best care for his injuries. Chief
Johnson is improving every day, but still has a long road to
recovery.
On
August 22nd XFIT936 will be performing the BENEFIT/TRIBUTE workout named "J.D."
They will also be taking donations at this time to be given to Chief Johnson and
his family to help with their recovery needs. Your donation gets you into this
BENEFIT/TRIBUTE workout, any donation amount gets you into the workout. Don't
want to actually do the workout, no problem. Just come on out and support these
local Corpus Christi Firefighters as they perform this grueling workout in honor
of their injured Chief, you can still make a donation to this wonderful cause.
If we can walk up flights of stairs for "brothers/sisters" we have never met
(which is a great cause also), making a small donation for a "brother" we all
know and respect is the least we can do. So please come
out on August 22nd starting at 9:00 am at Crossfit Metro 361 located at 401 S Water St and help us support one
of your own.
Here
is the workout so that those of you that are interested in participating in it
can prepare yourself. The workout is named "J.D." it is 3 rounds, 5 exercises,
17 reps per exercise. The 3 rounds symbolize the 3 shifts the CCFD has. The 5
exercises symbolize the 5 positions Chief Johnson has held in his career (FFI,
FFII, ENG, CAPT, BAT CHIEF). The 17 reps symbolize the number of fire stations
the CCFD has. So here is this tough as nails workout...
"J.D."

This
workout is as tough as they get and will test your physical and mental
capabilities. So remember if you choose to take a crack at this workout,
remember why we are doing it. Because one of our fellow brothers was injured
trying to protect lives and property of those he swore to protect. So 100%
effort should be given, because the is what Chief Johnson always
gave!!
