DAY 8 AND THE RETURN OF THE FIBER DRINK

WELL I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT I AM GLAD THAT DAY 7 IS OVER AND NOW I AM ON TO DAY 8. DAY 7 KICKED MY BUTT, BUT THAT IS OK BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT! LIFE SOMETIMES KICKS SQUARE IN THE BUTT AND YOU KNOW WHAT, WE HAVE TO MAKE A DECISION ARE WE GONNA STAY DOWN OR ARE WE GONNA GET BACK UP TAKE ON THE WORLD AGAIN!! THIS LITTLE VIDEO IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES...



THIS MORNING I WAKE UP AT THE STATION AFTER ONLY 2 HOURS OF SLEEP, THE AMBULANCE WAS BUSY YESTERDAY. I AM STILL EXTREMELY TIRED AND I AM UP FOR OVERTIME, ANOTHER 24 HOUR SHIFT. TO TOP OFF THIS WONDERFUL COLD MORNING, IT IS THE RETURN OF THE INFAMOUS FIBER DRINK!

I MIX MY FIBER DRINK, WHICH IS CITRUS FLAVOR IN CASE YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN, AND MY LEMONADE SPARK. THIS IS ACTUALLY A VERY INTERESTING COMBINATION AND TASTE GOOD. IT DOES NOTHING FOR THE TEXTURE THOUGH HAHA...

I DRINK IT DOWN AS I AM WAITING TO HEAR WHETHER I WILL BE WORKING ANOTHER 24 HOUR SHIFT OR NOT. I HEAR FROM MY WIFE THIS MORNING THAT OUR DAUGHTER HAD ANOTHER ROUGH NIGHT OF BEING SICK AND THAT MY WIFE WAS UP ALL NIGHT WITH HER AGAIN. LIKE I SAID IN DAY 7'S BLOG, LIFE GOES ON! IT TAKES NO BREAKS NOT EVEN FOR THOSE THAT ARE TIRED AND HAVE BEEN UP ALL NIGHT...

I DON'T GET THE CALL FOR OVERTIME. I DIE ON THE LIST. THIS IS KINDA OK WITH ME AS I AM TIRED AND COULD USE THE REST AND MY WIFE COULD USE SOME HELP AT THE HOUSE WITH THE NIGHT SHE HAD LAST NIGHT. SO I HEAD HOME...

ONCE HOME I TAKE THE TRASH CANS OUT AND FINISH A LITTLE LAUNDRY THAT NEEDS TAKEN CARE OF. THEN I CHANGE AND SHOWER AND GET READY FOR MY BREAKFAST. TODAY I FELT LIKE I NEED JUST A TAD BIT MORE ENERGY SO THIS IS WHAT I HAD FOR BREAKFAST AND IF YOU HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THIS BLOG YOU KNOW THIS IS WAY DIFFERENT THEN MY REGULAR EGGS AND SOME SORT OF MEAT...






TODAY'S WEATHER IS STILL COLD FOR SOUTH TEXAS AND MAKES GETTING TO THE GYM NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. SO I WILL JUST STAY HOME AND GET MY WORKOUTS IN HERE. I WILL KNOCK THURSDAY'S AND TODAY'S EXERCISE CHALLENGE PROVIDED BY KIMBERLY JONES AND THE FIT FOR LIFE GROUP. HERE THEY ARE:

SO HOW AM I DOING NOW THAT WE ARE A THIRD OF THE WAY THROUGH THIS 24 DAY CHALLENGE?
 MY ENERGY LEVEL IS UP, I DON'T FEEL TIRED AS OFTEN AS I DID PRIOR TO STARTING THIS. I FEEL LIKE I AM FEEDING MY BODY SO THAT IT WILL PERFORM AS I NEED IT TO INSTEAD OF ME JUST EATING BECAUSE I THOUGHT I HAD TO. THE SCALE SAYS I HAVE MADE SOME PROGRESS BUT THAT IS ONLY ONE WAY GAUGE MY PROGRESS. MY CLOTHES ARE FITTING BETTER, I WILL NOT SAY THEY ARE BIG OR LOOSE JUST YET BUT I WILL SAY THEY FIT "BETTER" IF THAT MAKES SENSE. MY BODY LOOKS BETTER IN THE MIRROR.  I AM NO DIFFERENT THAN MOST PEOPLE AND FIND THAT STANDING IN FRONT OF A MIRROR NAKED IS DIFFICULT BECAUSE WE DON'T ALWAYS LIKE WHAT WE SEE. BUT NOW AS I DO THIS AT LEAST ONCE A DAY I CAN SEE WHERE THE CHANGES ARE TAKING PLACE AND THAT IS ENCOURAGING!!



LATER ON I WILL FIND TIME FOR LUNCH WHICH I BELIEVE WILL CONSIST OF TUNA FISH SOME EGGS AND VEGGIES. MY SNACKS TODAY WILL BE THAT OF BEEF JERKY AND CHEESE AND A PROTEIN SHAKE LATER IN THE EVENING. MAKING SURE I TAKE MY OMEGAPLEX AND HERBAL CLEANSE PILLS WILL BE IMPORTANT AS THESE ARE THE LAST FEW DAYS OF OUR 10 DAY CLEANSE PHASE AND I WANT MY BODY TO BE AS EFFICIENT AS POSSIBLE WHEN WE GET TO THE MAX PHASE OF THE CHALLENGE.

NOW LET'S LOOK LONG TERM TODAY FOR JUST A MOMENT. SINCE WE ARE ALREADY A THIRD OF THE WAY THROUGH THIS SHORT TERM GOAL (24 DAY CHALLENGE) HOW HAS IT HELPED ME MOVE IN THE DIRECTION OF MY BIGGER GOAL? THAT GOAL IS TO LOSE 5 POUNDS A MONTH UNTIL SEPTEMBER WHEN I TURN 40 YEARS.

 I MUST SAY THAT I AM EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH MY PROGRESS TOWARDS MY LARGER GOAL IN THAT I HAVE ALREADY EXCEEDED IT! SO NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS IN THIS CHALLENGE I HAVE ALREADY PUT MY SELF IN GREAT POSITION TO ACHIEVE MY LONG TERM GOAL. 

I HOPE MY DAUGHTER AND WIFE BOTH SLEEP BETTER TONIGHT, I WILL DO EVERYTHING I CAN TO SEE THAT THEY DO. STAY SAFE AND STAY WARM - TALK TO YOU TOMORROW...
